imageOver recent months we’ve been delighted to watch as our Sunday evening Youth Group numbers have edged steadily upwards. Now we have over twenty on teenagers on the roll, with most of them there every week. To look forward to, they’ve got a weekend trip to Teen Ranch in the middle of March and, hopefully, a trip to see the Rend Collective in Glasgow in May. Oh and a trip to Edinburgh for Heart & Soul. The Youth Group is open to all teenagers from S1 to S6 and meets from 7.30 to 9pm.

Adele Ramsay is the Youth Worker on our staff team and we’re delighted to announce that she is now Mrs. Marr!!! Adele got married to Michael on 30th January – what a great day it was for everyone. Some of the teens helped out be serving at the buffet and they did a great job with that.

Teens needing some Sunday night pep-up before school starts again on Monday? Youth Group is for you.

gordon crudenWhat a great day we had last Sunday, 24th January, when our guest speaker was Gordon Cruden from Teen Challenge (NE Scotland!) Gordon spoke movingly of his month spent sleeping rough – of the people he met and of the situations he found himself in. We were all challenged to think of the ways in which we respond when seeing homeless people on the streets of our towns and cities. Why not watch the short video or go to Gordon’s facebook page to find out more about his experiences and why he undertook the challenge.
