In the not too distant future, St Andrew’s hopes to gain its first Eco-Congregation Award. To gain this, the church must demonstrate that:
- The congregation is making a link between its Christian faith and environmental concerns.
- Practical action is being taken in the church and its grounds: in other words, putting God’s house in green order.
- The church has to measure its carbon footprint and then make plans to reduce it. The church must also show that it is working with the local and wider community to change lives.
