We were delighted to host what proved to be a highly successful Recovery Cafe on Friday 2nd November 2012.
The event was run jointly by the Scottish Drugs Recovery Consortium and Angus Council’s Alcohol & Drugs Partnership. The gathering was about celebrating the FACT that people DO recover from drug addiction!
In attendance were those who are on that recovery journey together with front-line workers, policy makers and voluntary sector groups.
As well as ample supplies of coffee, the cafe event featured open and honest conversations through which each participant learned and grew in their understanding of recovery. Organisers are hopeful that, among other things, the result of the day will be that Angus is better prepared in days to come to support many more to move into recovery.
