There are lots of ways to keep in touch with what’s going on at St Andrew’s!
For members who are virtually housebound and therefore unable to attend Sunday services, the services go to our members! We record our services and then make a CD that can be delivered to your home on a fortnightly basis. If you would like more information about this, then contact Ken Miller via the Church Office.
For able members, please note that we do not make CDs for folks who miss a week or two when on holiday, or for other reasons, as that would be a never ending job and a half! Our ‘Digging Deeper’ sheets are available in print in the church vestibule, or here on our website along with the recording of the weekly message.
You can ask questions, share your views and support others via our online forum. This forum is open to anyone on the net, and there is a wide range of opinions and beliefs expressed.
You don’t have to be a church member (or even a Christian) to participate; all we ask is that you keep in mind that this discussion group is for constructive exchanges. In other words, treat others in the group as you would want them to treat you. Visit as often as you like and contribute as much or as little as you like - it’s up to you.
You can also read and comment on Martin’s musings in our minister’s blog.
Weekly bulletin:
Each week we publish a handy church bulletin which is given out at Sunday worship, to keep members fully informed about all that is going on in the life of the church. It includes the order of service, contact details for the ministry team, notices about forthcoming events and a daily prayer bulletin for the week.
Monthly magazine:
Our church magazine is called Quest. The editor is Ken Miller, who is always happy to receive contributions for the magazine. Please leave them at the Church office for typing, or email or hand in a digital copy - even better!
Quest is delivered to church members each month by the members of our Contact Team, and back issues are available in the vestibule of the church. Although it is free to St Andrew’s members, it obviously costs money to produce, so donations to help cover this cost are also welcome. Donations can be given direct to your Contact Team visitor, or given in at the church office.
The latest issue of Quest and many previous issues are available on the Quest page.
The Church of Scotland, of which St Andrew’s is a part, publishes a monthly magazine called Life and Work. It’s an interesting read and gives you a wider perspective on the actions and attitudes of our wider church family.
Church members who would like to receive Life and Work can have it delivered with their copy of Quest. The cost is £1.60 per issue. Please contact the Church office if you would like to receive Life and Work.
