Rarely - if ever! - have we enjoyed such a hectic Easter season at St. Andrew’s, with the emphasis being very much on our work among children and families. With almost ninety p7 children attending The Easter Code and 80 attending the week-long Space Academy holiday club, the church ha;;s have never been more alive! And sandwiched between these two spectaculars there was, of course, the small matter of our celebrations of Easter - the death and resurrection of our Lord!
Easter Day featured three worship services. we started at 8am in the grounds of the Abbey then witnessed a packed church for our all-age communion service at 11am. The day finished with a fantastic contemporary service featuring brilliant praise together with live art and dance - not at all what many think of when the word ‘church’ is mentioned!!
In total, between our programmes for children, our school services and our Easter Day services, we welcomed in excess of 1,000 people over the threshold, most of them NOT members of our church! Our aim had been to make sure that the death and rising again of Jesus did not go un-noticed in Arbroath this Easter,
