It was with great delight that on 10th February, the congregation welcomed The Rev. Stuart Irvin to be its Associate Minister. His appointment followed a lengthy period of prayer, reflection and searching and so the over-riding sense among the congregation was one of answered prayer… and relief!
Stuart and his wife, Lynne - a teacher - have come to us from Stonehaven, where Stuart completed his probationary period, the final part of his training for ministry. And he comes highly recommended!Stuart will work in close partnership with our minister, Martin, who is delighted to have a full-time colleague. In particular, Stuart will concentrate on worship, nurture and pastoral care and will have particular responsibility for children and younger families.
We look forward with much anticipation to the ways in which God will work through Stuart and Lynne to further His Kingdom in this place.
On the 5th March, The Presbytery of Angus decided that Stuart would be ordained at a special service to take place on Thursday 18th April, at 7pm, within St. Andrew’s Church. This will be a very special evening indeed and one which many will want to be present at.
