Digging Deeper

» Worship & Teaching » Christian Education Programme » Digging Deeper

Following our successful pilot project run in the first part of 2001 (in which we studied the letter to the Philippians), we are continuing to make available the 'Digging Deeper' study notes. These contain a summary version of the Sunday morning message, together with a number of questions designed to get you thinking further. So too, the questions are intended to encourage all of us to consider the application of the message to our own lives. The 'Digging Deeper' leaflet is given out at each worship service, and are also available from the church office. The note are also available online - the current week's issue is on the page "This week @ St Andrew's" and previous issues are in the archives section of our Online Library (use the navigation bar at the left to locate the archives you want).

On your own

It is entirely possible to use 'Digging Deeper' on your own. For some of you that will be the most practical option. If so, why not set aside some time during the week in which you will seek to hear further what God has to say to you through the Bible.

With others

By far the preferable option, however, is that you engage in the 'Digging Deeper' exercise with others, in groups. Throughout the year a number of such groups are operating, meeting at different times during the week and in various locations. The advantage of working in a group is that members of the group can listen and learn from the insights and experience of other people. Hearing what someone else thinks can be a big help in working out what you think… even when you don't agree! Being in a group also allows, of course, for members to enjoy Christian fellowship and support through the week. This in itself, is a vital ingredient in growing as a Christian.

Details of these group meetings are published regularly throughout the year both through our regular paper publications (Sunday bulletins and Quest magazine) and here on the website, on the Home Groups page. Either join a group for the whole year or attend a group suitable to you as you are able.
