Small Groups

» Something for Everyone » Small Groups

St Andrew's Church is committed to nurturing discipleship and fellowship, that is, communion with God and communions with each other in the family of the Church. In this, we aim to build on the picture of the church presented in the new Testament. There, the believers met to pray together, to help one another practically and to share together in the ways of God. We recognise, as they obviously did, that the Christian life is about belonging was well as believing and that these things need to be worked at.

Building on this model then, and remembering that elsewhere in the New Testament we are encouraged 'not to give up the habit of meeting together', we offer a network of small groups to which you might belong. Meeting at different times and in different places, and covering a range of themes, we trust that there will be something for everyone and that you, and our Church, will be strengthened as a result.

"Anyone with a basic knowledge of Church history is aware of the significant role played by small groups across the centuries in the growth and renewal of the Christian Church. It should come as no surprise to discover that the overwhelming majority of churches which are making a significant impact in communities use small groups."
