Staying in Touch
Our CD Services
For members who are virtually housebound and therefore unable to attend Sunday
Services, the services go to our members! We record our services and then make
a CD that can be delivered to your home on a fortnightly basis. If you would
like more information about this, then contact Ken Miller via the Church
Office.
For able members, please note that we do not make CDs for folks who miss a week
or two when on holiday, or for other reasons, as that would be a never ending
job and a half! Our ‘Digging Deeper’ sheets are available in print
in the church vestibule, or here on our website along with the recording of
the weekly message.
Online Discussion
You can ask questions, share your views and support others via our online
forum. You can either visit via your web browser or ask for any contributions
to be emailed to you. We often have non-members contributing to these discussions,
and there is a wide range of opinions and beliefs expressed.
NB: if you haven't visited our online discussion group before, please take a
minute to read our guidelines
before contributing to the group.
Local News
Each week we publish a handy church bulletin which is given out at Sunday worship, to keep members fully informed about all that is going on in the life of the church. It includes the order of service, contact details for the ministry team, notices about forthcoming events and a daily prayer bulletin for the week. You can see most of this information on the This Week @ St Andrew's page of this website.
St Andrew's monthly church magazine is called Quest. The editor is Ken Miller, who is always happy to receive contributions for the magazine. Please leave them at the Church office for typing, or email or hand in a digital copy - even better!
Quest is delivered to church members each month by a team of volunteer distributors, and back issues are available in the vestibule of the church. Although it is free to St Andrew's members, it obviously costs money to produce, so donations to help cover this cost are also welcome. Donations can be given direct to your distributor, or given in at the church office.
The latest issue of Quest is also available
online via our This week @ St Andrew's page and previous editions are in our Quest
archive.
National News
Our denomination, the Church of Scotland, publishes a monthly magazine called Life and Work. It's an interesting read and gives you a wider perspective on the actions and attitudes of our denomination.
Church members who would like to receive Life and Work can have it delivered with their copy of Quest. The cost is 1.60 per issue.
Please contact the Church office if you would like to receive Life and Work.
