Given our opposition to the existence of shops selling so-called ‘legal highs’ in Arbroath, it was with dismay that we learned this week of the death of a young local man - his death being bound up with the taking of these substances. In the space of just four short months, he lost over four stones in weight and became a shadow of his former self. Though he has previous involvement with other kinds of drugs, the tragedy is that it is since beginning to take these NPSs that his downfall has been completed.We continue to be appalled that these substances can be bought freely from a shop front in out town and remain committed to the closure of all such outlets.
