Holiday Club 2016 – big success!

Sunday, March 20th, 2016 | Tags:

Another Holiday Club has come and gone – and another great week enjoyed by children and team alike! ‘Guardians of Ancora’ led u on an adventure of discovery as we searched for – and learned – stories of Jesus. As always, there was lots of fun and games and mayhem but none of that got in the way of the children getting to know much more about what it is to be a friend of Jesus. A HUGE thanks to all the team without whom no clubs would be possible and a BIG cheer for all the children (and their families) who came along. Watch out for the follow-up event coming soon!IMG_0867 IMG_0875 IMG_0876 IMG_0895 IMG_0915

Easter Code

easter code 2016We’re delighted to announce that this years edition of The Easter Code was a huge success, with over two hundred primary 7 children joining us from schools right across the town. What a joy it was too that so many churches came together to partner in this way – to put on a great Easter programme for so many children. We’re very grateful to the large team of volunteers – again, made up from across the churches – without whom it would not have been possible.

Finally, with these p7 children nearing the end of the time at primary school, we take this opportunity to wish them the very best for their move to secondary school.

St. Andrew’s Men on Tour!

DSC_6218-Rev-1This weekend – Friday 11th to Sunday 13th March – sees the much-loved annual Men’s Retreat to Kincraig, by Aviemore. As always the weekend will be the perfect balance between fun and hijinks and serious spiritual engagement. We’ll be looking at the Parable of the Prodigal Son and asking ourselves what the parable has to say to Christian men today. The Saturday afternoon sees a few hours of free time. Some of the men will be taking part in a photo challenge in Aviemore, others will be going to see a shinty match and others still will be going for a quiet stroll.

It’s not too late to sign up; there are a few places still available. Contact the Church Office and ask for Jim McLeod who has all the details.DSC_6317-Rev-1
