What a great night we had in Edinburgh at the quarterly PowerPoint event for young people! With over 800 young Christians packed into Central Hall, there was a cracking atmosphere and the worship band and speaker didn’t let us down. Our own young people loved the whole event – which was a brand new experience for most of them. When’s the next one was the cry!!!

We are now more than half way through our present series, entitled, ‘Seven Sayings from the Cross.’ Easter may have come and gone but we are, in truth, ‘Easter People’ and it is right that we spend plenty of time reflecting on the final hours of Jesus’ life, during which he hung on the cross of Calvary. As well as listening in to Martin’s messages on these seven sayings, why not join a group for the duration of the series that you might get everything possible out of it, as we seek to go more deeply into who our Lord is and what is asked of us in living the Christian life.

How blessed we’ve been by the presence among us of our three Vocations Volunteers!! This last week, Amy, Chris and Matthew led our evening worship – and did it brilliantly well! They set up a number of prayer stations, all of which the congregation was able to spend time at in reflection and prayer. And with Matthew singing and playing guitar and Chris on drums, they led us in a vibrant set of praise which lifted and lifted as the evening wore on. Three months to go – but already we’re looking forward with dread to their departure!
