At Easter 2001, a new organ was played for the first time. This followed the decision that was arrived at - with much regret - that the existing organ had reached the end of the road. A successful appeal made possible the purchase of the new organ which was installed into the exact space where the original organ had been, with virtually no disturbance and no enforced changes to the look of the building.
The new instrument is an Allen Organ model. For all intents and purposes, it sounds exactly like a traditional pipe organ. Over and above, it has various additional options which offer the congregation a range of new possibilities.
