securedownload (2)For those of us who were in Glasgow during the time of the Commonwealth Games, 2014 will be a year we’ll remember for a long time to come! The atmosphere around the city was wonderful from start to finish, with the people of Glasgow living up to the motto of the games: ‘People make Glasgow.’ But for the St. Andrew’s Church Mission team, it was special for all kinds of other reasons. To spend a week living together in community was a treat indeed. Everyone got on wonderfully well with all members of the team – young and old – contributing hugely to the success of the trip. From the holiday club for local children in the morning to our ‘Stop the Traffic’  campaigning work in the city centre to our ‘penny gospel’ distribution, it was a privilege to serve the city during such an exciting time. Thanks to all who served on the team. Thanks to the members of Giffnock South Church for hosting us. And thanks be to God for blessing us so richly.
